The stalwart six-piece will swing through for a handful of headline shows and festival slots early next year

Renowned Japanese psych-funk fusion outfit Dachambo are destined for Aussie shores once more, with the acclaimed six-piece announcing a run of shows around the country late next month and in early 2015.

Getting under way with return appearances at the Woodford Folk Festival (at which they played in 2011), in the Pineapple Lounge on December 27 and 29, and the Grande Stage on December 31, Dachambo fill out their time in Queensland with a show at Maroochydore's Solbar on December 28 (supported by Hayden Hack) before hopping the border to Byron Bay's Great Northern, on December 30 (supported by Waxhead).

They'll round out the visit with two further Brissy shows — one on January 1, at The Bearded Lady, West End, supported by Tin Can Radio and DJ Rudi Quinzalez, and another on January 2, at Fortitude Valley's Woolly Mammoth, again with support from Quinzalez, as well as Die Rude — before taking their final bow at The Brewery, in Byron Bay, on January 4, when they'll be joined by Chocolate StringsDJ Hata and SpinSistas

The colourful sextet is renowned for their infectious live performances, replete with dual drummers, bone-shaking grooves and a communal lust for mass, fun-lovin' dancing, so with so many chances to catch them in action while they're in the region, you'd be hard-pressed to find a solid excuse to miss out.
