More Caligula's Horse More Caligula's Horse

Brissy-bred alt-prog outfit Caligula's Horse are backing up an acclaimed national run with Perth contemporaries Voyager and support for Canadian legends Protest The Hero with the announcement of their own headline national tour, kicking off at home in January.

Starting with Brissy's The Zoo on Friday, January 16, the freshly minted BIGSOUND alumni will head to Sydney's Factory Floor, The Basement, in Canberra, and Melbourne's The Evelyn before hopping coasts to take on Perth's Rosemount Hotel, then back to the east and south for the grand finish at the Enigma Bar, Adelaide, on Saturday, January 31.

The jaunt comes in support of the band's brand new clip for A Gift To Afterthought, the opening track from their lauded sophomore release, The Tide, The Thief & River's End. We've not been fortunate enough to see the new goods in action, but you can tide yourself over with an excellent recent live performance of fan-favourite Dark Hair Down.

Caligula's Horse will be joined by a gamut of acclaimed Aussie prog-rock acts, including the likes of Sydney's Breaking Orbit, Melburnians Orsome Welles, and 'astral space-core' masters Alithia, as well as local supports. The headliners will not only be busting out A Gift To Afterthought and a raft of much-loved classics, but will be lifting the veil on never-performed material as well, making this run a must-see for existing and prospective fans.

Tickets for Caligula's Horse's A Gift To Afterthought 2015 national tour will go on sale from 10am AEDT this Friday, November 28. For a full rundown of dates, venues and ticketing details, hit theGuide or see The Music App.
