More The Veronicas More The Veronicas

Stalwart pop siblings The Veronicas have unveiled a five-date run of shows around the country to herald their return to active duty with their first tour of Australia in more than six years early next year.

Kicking off at Perth's Concert Hall on Thursday, February 12, the veteran performers will take their Sanctified tour to Adelaide's Entertainment Centre Theatre, The Forum, in Melbourne, Sydney's Enmore Theatre, and finish at City Hall, in Brisbane, on Saturday, February 21, with the sisters promising the run will be an event to remember.

"The Sanctified tour will be an intimate, theatrical experience, and is our way of saying thank you to our fans that have spent six years waiting for our return to the stage," they said in a statement. "Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the Sanctified tour will complete our rebirth."

Before then, though, said rebirth will be instigated by the release of The Veronica's eagerly awaited new self-titled full-length, out tomorrow, November 21, via Sony Music Entertainment Australia. Their latest album boasts brand new cut If You Love Someone along with their ARIA #1, double-platinum-selling single You Ruin Me, which has set charts ablaze around the world, stepping out in the top ten, at #8, in the UK this week.
