More Frenzal Rhomb More Frenzal Rhomb

Aussie punk veterans Frenzal Rhomb have stepped up to fill Bodyjar's shoes as supports at tonight's NOFX show at the Forum, in Melbourne, after the 'Jar were forced to pull out as frontman Cameron Baines awaits the imminent arrival of his first child with wife Regan.

"We have good news and bad news," Frenzal wrote on Facebook this morning (AEST). "The good news is, our buddy Cam from Bodyjar is hours away from becoming a Dad. To an actual baby (as far as we're aware).

"The bad news is, they have to pull out of tonight's NOFX function at the Forum in Melbourne, so we regret to announce, we're playing instead.

"Considering this happened in the last half an hour, we're not expecting to get any rider, so buy us beers if you see us hanging around looking lonely," they concluded.

For Bodyjar's part, they seemed to be taking the development with good grace (although, we suppose it's not every day you can bear witness to the creation of life, so we're sure they're coping), further explaining that Cam's wife had gone into labour earlier than anticipated, and that they would be back on board for tomorrow's follow-up showing in Melbourne, once more at the Forum.

Here's hoping the Victorian capital can get through its performances incident-free - after attacking a fan in Sydney (and later partying with them to make amends) and copping a shoe to the face in Perth, it's safe to say Fat Mike and the rest of NOFX are probably a little bit done with Australian shenanigans.

Scratch that: totally done.
