Melbourne’s The Smith Street Band are targeting a top 20 debut on the Album Charts this week, while current number one Taylor Swift looks set to hold onto her spot.

The Music’s Albums Of The Week last week, The Smith Street Band’s Throw Me In The River was streamed on theMusic.com.au in the lead up to releases and earlier today was announced as triple j’s next Feature Album. According to midweek figures the album is tracking towards a trop 20 debut. It’ll be the first time the band have entered the ARIA Album Charts.

Fellow heavy Aussie act Hand Of Mercy are also on track for the top 50, their album Resolve – with a new vocalist – looks set to feature around the same region as their 2012 effort Last Lights did. It spent one week at 44.

At the pointy end of the albums chart Calvin Harris is set to be the top debut, his album Motion looking a top five hope and a little out of reach of current number one Taylor Swift’s 1989. There’ll also be debuts from Annie Lennox’s Nostalgia and Black Veil Brides’ self-titled in the top 2, Yusuf’s Tell ‘Em I’m Gone outside of that.

Re-issues and an imminent new album have helped the back catalogues of Led Zeppelin and Foo Fighters. Led Zep’s Led Zeppelin IV and Houses Of The Holy and Foo’s Greatest Hits will all re-enter in the top 25, if trends stay the same towards the end of the week.

Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud will be hard to knock off top spot in the ARIA Singles Chart this week, despite a charge from Meghan Trainor’s Lips Are Moving. It’ll jump from seven to somewhere around the three-to-five positions.

Other songs enjoying strong sales weeks include Calvin Harris featuring Ellie Goulding’s Outside, Hilltop HoodsCosby Sweater, Alesso featuring Tove Lo’s Heroes (We Could Be) and Avicii’s The Days.

Debuts will come from Imagine DragonsI Bet My Life, Anja Nissen featuring will.i.am and Cody Wise’s I’m So Excited and Taylor Swift’s Blank Space.
