HotHouse Theatre Appoints New Artistic Director And Co-CEO

Lyn Wallis has been appointed as Artistic Director and co-CEO of Wodonga's HotHouse Theatre. Commencing her new role mid-January 2015, Wallis will lead the company with General Manager, Tahini Froudist. 

Wallis' previous roles include the Downstairs Theatre Director at Belvoir St Theatre for nine years and the Artistic Director of Jigsaw Theatre Company for four years. She has also been the Director of Theatre for the Australia Council for the Arts since 2009. In that role, Wallis pushed for further representation of women in creative leadership in Australian theatre. Her efforts included commissioning a report in 2011, Women in Theatre, and an exhibition in 2014 of the same name.

"I am hugely looking forward to getting to know the Albury Wodonga community better, and making and presenting work which engages strongly with its audiences in the region and nationally," says Wallis.
