The stalwart Aussie music company is extending its reach considerably

Australian-based music company Unified — the umbrella under which labels UNFD and ONETWO fall, as well as management of artists such as Vance Joy, Violent Soho, The Amity Affliction, Remi and more — has welcomed Ben Patashnik to the fold as its inaugural European representative.

The appointment will see Patashnik become the first UK-based member of the Unified family, which currently operates on the labours of 20 employees here at home in providing its range of artist services, from management to labels, merchandising and publishing.

The company's heavy music label, UNFD, stands to benefit directly from Patashnik's experience, with the veteran industry man poised to help complement the label's recent pairing with Rise Records in the US and meet the growing demand in Europe and the UK for UNFD's roster of artists, which includes acts such as Northlane, In Hearts Wake, Dead Letter Circus, Deez Nuts and Hand Of Mercy.

Patashnik's role will see him co-ordinating label and management activities in the region, providing a local point of contact for the industry, artists and media based in that part of the world. Having recently vacated his post at esteemed music publication Rock Sound, Patashnik has also put in time with world-class brands such as Red Bull and NME, and also completed a stint with Vice.
