Melburnian muso Fraser A. Gorman has become the latest act to be brought into the fold of burgeoning indie label Marathon Artists, with the 23-year-old troubadour signing a worldwide deal with the company recently.

The signing makes him dual label-mates with similarly ascendant artist Courtney Barnett, who, like Gorman, is a fixture of Australia's Milk! Records as well as being a signee to Marathon. Gorman's induction to the Marathon family comes just ahead of the release of his debut album, due out in early 2015 through House Anxiety/Marathon around the world, and Milk! in Australia.

To tide you over till then, and to celebrate the new arrangement, Gorman has made available for listening his new single Book Of Love, the first cut to be taken from the full-length, and marks a natural progression of his Americana-soaked style of musicianship. Have a gander/listen below.

If those goods all seem pleasing to your senses, you'll be happy to know that the single will receive a 7" vinyl release in the near future before the debut full-length comes along to truly catapult Gorman to the next phase of his career. It features contributions from You Am I's Davey Lane, King Gizzard's Stu Mackenzie, and Eagle And The Worm's Jarrad Brown and James Fleming, and was recorded by Cal Barter, with mixing duties looked-after by Dan Luscombe (The Drones).
