Recorded for BBC's Peaky Blinders

More PJ Harvey More PJ Harvey

The BBC have posted a stream of PJ Harvey's cover of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds' Red Right Hand.

The original version of the song is currently used as the theme of BBC's ultra-violent period gangster series Peaky Blinders — the show has also featured music from PJ Harvey.

PJ Harvey was commissioned to adapt the theme for series two of the show which features Australian actor Noah Taylor in a major role (the show stars The Dark Knight's Cillian Murphy and lauded theatre actor Helen McCrory).

Harvey's version is a minimal, piano-based take on Red Right Hand, giving the song an even more haunting atmosphere than the original.
