The seventh Australasian Worldwide Music Expo will welcome an eye-popping array of speakers to the event

This year's impending Australasian Worldwide Music Expo (AWME) is less than a month away, with the annual industry event freshly unveiling the conference program for its seventh iteration today, held from November 14-15 at the Arts Centre, Melbourne.

The extensive program of industry-focused events includes the Australia Council's discussion about its New Grants Program, Sounds Australia canvassing the topic of being Export Ready, panels with directors and bookers from around the world for discussions on Touring Internationally and Touring In Canada, and a New Zealand Music Commission-presented panel on being An Island In The Middle Of The Pacific.

In addition to those happenings, delegates will be able to sit in on conversations between Ash Grunwald, Nahko (US) and Nicky Bomba, curated by triple j presenter Sarah Howells, on the trials and tribulations of touring life, and a presentation from bigwigs at Glastonbury, Bonnaroo, WOMADelaide, Meredith Music Festival and Golden Plains on What Makes A Great Festival.

There are chats with PBS 106.7fm, the folks behind new venue Howler and Hiatus Kaiyote's manager to discuss the shifting media landscape; Sydney Opera House head of indigenous programming Rhoda Roberts will canvass the development of the next generation of first-nation artists; a lesson for all artists at Diversify Your Income; and CAAMA MusicArtback NT and Music NT reps will chat about the potential and sustainability of Remote And Regional Touring.
