The track is taken from the animation juggernaut's forthcoming 'Big Hero 6'
US pop-rock heavyweights Fall Out Boy have continued their assertive resurgence post-hiatus with the release of sure-to-be-polarising new cut Immortals, taken from Disney's forthcoming feature Big Hero 6.
As is immediately obvious, the song is a departure from what's come before, but still follows the general aesthetic path the band has been increasingly going down, as with recent single Centuries. The new song's a little more "artifical", for want of a better word — but then, it's also taken from a soundtrack for an animated film about a giant pudgy robot, so you were probably never going to get much in the way of particularly evocative/in-depth lyricism, but it certainly does its job in the infectiousness department.
Fall Out Boy are Australia-bound early next year as part of the Soundwave festival line-up. See the Festivals tab for more information.
