Currently residing on The CW Network in the US which hosts Supernatural, The Originals and more alike, the TV adaption of The Flash was introduced through season two of Arrow earlier this year. During his brief stint on the show, The Flash star Grant Gustin – who you might know from Glee - plays scientist Barry Allen who is exposed to radiation from a particle accelerator. Super-speed and revenge ensue.
Much like The Flash, the latest work from renowned director Steven Soderbergh would have perhaps been released as a feature film a few years ago. But, with Soderbergh retiring from film last year, The Knick lands on TV as a 20-episode series set in downtown New York in 1900, revolving around Knickerbocker Hospital and its inhabitants.
Weaving together some of the most iconic characters from long-lasting horror tales, British-American horror series Penny Dreadful rounds up Dr. Frankenstein, Dorian Gray, Dracula and throws them into Victorian London, for a beautifully shot series that’s just as dark as it is gripping.
Comedy series Fresh Off The Boat is the latest offering from Don’t Trust The Bitch From Apartment 23 creator Nahnatchka Khan, and loosely follows the life of chef and food personality Eddie Haung as he tries to pursue the American dream in suburban Orlando. Having written for American Dad and Malcom In The Middle, Khan’s no stranger to TV comedy.
