Giants Of Science are embracing the brave new world of the 21st century

More Giants of Science More Giants of Science

Stalwart Brissy-bred, self-described "nerd-core" quartet Giants Of Science are trying their hand at a comeback of sorts, orchestrating an Indiegogo-hosted crowdfunding campaign to bring to life a new four-track EP.

The campaign, which has been under way for a few weeks now, still has more than a month to go before completion, but with the band about $6,650 shy of their expressed $8,000 goal at the time of writing, they're still in great need of a helping hand to bring the new EP, What's Wrong With You And Why, to life.

"In recent years we have slowed down rather considerably due to other commitments and infirmity but we'd like to do a few more shows in the next little bit, and we have the EP to prove it," the band wrote on their campaign page.

"Recorded last year with Darek Mudge in Brisbane, the EP is entitled What's Wrong With You And Why and features four BRAND NEW SONGS* - "The Tower of Toowong", "Prognosis: Fucked", "Your Coke May Be Pepsi" and "Forty Floors". If people give enough of a crap about the EP we might just do an album as well. But first things first."

Pledges start at a paltry $10, which automatically snags you a download of the EP, and range up to in excess of $1200, where you'll score yourself a band show at your house (plus other costs, but, as the fine print cheekily reads, "you were warned").

Head over to the Giants Of Science What's Wrong With You And Why campaign page and sling 'em what you can spare to help the sluggish behemoth cough their way back to life.
