Singer-songwriter Vance Joy has enjoyed his highest US chart position to date, with his mammoth hit Riptide now sitting at #59 in the Billboard Hot 100.

The Melburnian's anthem has now spent 11 weeks in the Hot 100 and it's still the number one single in the Billboard Alternative Songs and Rock Airplay charts. The song is also sitting at 40 and celebrating its 44th (phew!) week in the UK Singles Chart.

It caps off a big week in the States for the muso, real name James Keogh, after he made his US late night talk show debut on Late Night With Seth Meyers Tuesday night — check out his performance below:

Keogh's debut full-length album was released last week and is on track to chart highly in the ARIA Albums Chart when the figures are revealed tomorrow.
