Youth broadcaster triple j are waiting to hear from their audience before they play Bliss N Eso on the station again.

Having supported the hip hop band – who’ve had two consecutive number one albums certified platinum – throughout their career, triple j are reacting to the public condemnation of rapper MC Eso – real name Max Mackinnon.

Earlier this week he posted misogynistic and vulgar images on his Instagram page, which have since been removed.

Triple j station management said today, “We haven't played any Bliss N Eso on triple j since Monday when this incident happened. We appreciate that Eso has apologised and believe his sincerity. We'll wait on the audience sentiment before playing the band again.”

Bliss N Eso are one of Australia’s biggest hip hop acts and firm favourites of the triple j audience. In January’s Hottest 100 Bliss N Eso had two songs make the list, while the recent Hottest 100 Albums Of All Time saw two of the band’s albums – Running On Air and Flying Colours – make the fan-voted poll.
