Ascendant Sydney-bred trio Mansionair have announced release details for their forthcoming debut EP, backing up the revelation with a handful of capital-city tour dates planned in support.

The band, who are co-managed by Lunatic Entertainment’s Danny Rogers and Campbell McNeil (The Temper Trap, CHVRCHES) will see their first extended player, Hold Me Down, hit physical and digital stores on October 10, via Goodbye Records. A 12” vinyl release will follow in the near future, for which pre-orders are already available.

The EP’s release through Goodbye – a label run by Scottish electro-pop luminaries CHVRCHES – sees the culmination of a period of good, old-fashioned elbow-greasework for the rising three-piece, who have garnered an eye-popping total of about 5.5 million views on YouTube for the title track/lead single’s clip since it was originally uploaded at the start of the year.

That’s not even taking into account the more-than 1 million spins it’s been given on SoundCloud in the same time, which, when considered, brings you up to more than 6.5 million reasons that you should be acquainting yourself with the swiftly maturing act — 6.5 million-and-one if you include their recent addition to the triple j airwaves.

Mansionair will be embarking on a swift, three-date run of shows this month in promotion of the EP, kicking off in their home town of Sydney at the Newtown Social Club on Saturday, September 6, a follow-up appearance at the same venue on September 10, and the band’s eagerly awaited appearance at Brisbane’s imminent BIGSOUND showcase and conference.
