New Board President For ACMI Announced

The Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) has just announced Mr Peter Lewinsky will assume a new role as Board President.

The Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) has just announced Mr Peter Lewinsky will assume a new role as Board President.

Lewinsky, the Acting Board president since May 2014 was appointed by the Victorian Government Minister for the Arts, Heidi Victoria MP, after former Board President Mrs Lorraine Elliott AM sadly passed away in July after a short illness.

“After nearly four years as a member of the ACMI Board, I am delighted to now be given this opportunity by the Minister to take on the role of President,” Lewinsky says in a statement. “I very much look forward to working with the Board, the Executive and staff of ACMI to continue the excellent work and achievements of recent years into the future.”

His term runs until mid-2016.
