Meredith Reschedules Ticket Purchasing Services

Take two begins this Friday

After a false start last Friday, the Meredith Music Festival has ironed out the tech bugs and is ready once more to sell tickets, with the second attempt at opening purchases set to kick off from 11am this Friday, September 5.

The issues — for which the festival and its own website have taken pains to bear responsibility — are well and truly ironed out, though in a statement organisers did express their apologies for the inconvenience and gratitude for punters' understanding in the wake of the hiccoughs.

"Due to issues with the Meredith website on the morning before sales opened, we decided to postpone the sales completely, as the system would not have operated smoothly," Aunty wrote. "I know this was an inconvenience to some people who took time out of their lives to be there at the right time and place, which we appreciate, and I am very sorry this has happened. The fault was entirely mine - it was our own website which was having issues.

"Nothing else changes, the allocation is the same size as it was, and will be the final bunch of tickets to 24-Meredith, except for a very small allocation of Aunty’s Last Chance. In recent years the Online allocation has sold out very quickly and we have no reason to believe that won’t be the case here again."

If the mad rush of people trying to purchase their passes last Friday was any indication at all, they're not wrong to expect a burst of interest when the floodgates open at the end of this week, so it will pay to be prepared. To do that, you can take a couple of precautions — sign up to Oztix in advance, understand and appreciate the ticket limit of three passes per person, and be ready to click onto the direct ticket-sale link juuuuust before 11am on Friday. Good luck, brave party-goers.
