'Blue Planet Eyes' is yours to own from late September

More The Preatures More The Preatures

Sydney indie quintet The Preatures have revealed that their eagerly awaited debut full-length album, Blue Planet Eyes, is just around the corner, unveiling its artwork and announcing a release date of September 26 now confirmed for you to mark on your calendars.

The welcome release comes after two lauded EPs, and was recorded amid perhaps the band’s busiest time to date, earlier this year, entailing studio sessions in both Austin, Texas, and back at home at the band’s Doldrums Studio in Surry Hills.

Within, you’ll find ten boldly realised cuts of indie pop-rock goodness, including acclaimed breakthrough single Is This How You Feel? and, importantly, a world of musical treats beyond, such as the swagger-filled Whatever You Want, the hedonistic Rock And Roll Rave, the lush, rocky outcrops of Ordinary, or Two Tone Melody, which you can listen to yourself and for which you can concoct your own glowing adjectives:

“I really wanted to explore pop writing - that's the over-arching theme," frontwoman Izzi Manfredi said in a statement. "I never thought I would be writing pop music - I don’t think any of us did - but the more I got into it, the more I love it. I just wanted to figure out how I could make people feel the most in the least amount of time."

Mission accomplished, we’d say.
