The national sojourn gets under way in a little over two weeks

Sydney-based singer-songwriter Patrick James is counting down the sleeps to his Broken Lines tour, which kicks off on August 29, and to shore up the final preparations, he has announced that Central Coast two-piece Winterbourne will be joining him as support act for the ride.

Winterbourne – known separately to those who know them as James Draper and Jordan Brady – have spent the past few years building a reputation for solid tunes and an even more unyielding work ethic as they’ve busked their way up and down the east coast. Debut EP All But The Sun is available now – the Sydney launch show for which has already sold out – and provides the best taste so far of what to expect in the flesh from the twangy two-piece.

Check out this live performance of Sunrise, which appears on the EP, to get acquainted with the delicate yet direct strains of an act in the throes of asserting themselves as performers and songwriters before you take it in at a live show.

For his part, Patrick James has also recently released an EP, sophomore effort Broken Lines, from which the impending tour takes its name. It’s done great business in its own right in terms of building buzz around the young troubadour, with lead single Message laying all the right seeds for excitement to burst and bloom at the prospect of the forthcoming tour.
