Damian Costin's booking agency expand their horizons

Damian Costin's 123 Agency may use direct-to-fan crowdfunder Pledge Music to help fund tours under a new agreement.

The deal will see the booking agency use the Pledge platform to potentially fund aspects of tours for their artists. Costin told theMusic.com.au that while his agency acts don't need crowd funds to finance tours, elements such as producing products, publicity and marketing could be funded through crowd-sourcing.

"Pledge is a to direct fan platform and we are agency that does strategic tour planning," he said. "If you combine those two elements we can offer fans more than just a ticket to a show. We are interested in being innovative and creative like our artists that we represent."

123 Agency, which was launched last year, is home to artists like Bonjah, Calling All Cars, Drunk Mums, Ella Hooper, Kid Mac, Luca Brasi, Pierce Brothers, Stonefield and many more. Pledge Music originated five years ago, offering a more artist-development focused form of crowdfunding.
