'Bombs Away' has its sights set on a top three finish

More Sheppard More Sheppard

Indie-pop six-piece Sheppard are staking their claim for the top of the ARIA Albums Chart this week, with the Brisbane-based band looking the goods to finish in the top three.

Sheppard’s debut LP Bombs Away could possibly be the highest album debut of the week, though The X-Factor alum Taylor Henderson is also on track to place in the top three with his new record Burnt Letters. The next highest album debut of the week is expected to come from American punks Rise Against. Their new LP The Black Market is set for a top five finish.

Aussies Andy Bull and D At Sea are also on track to enter the chart this week. Bull is looking the goods to land in the 20, while D At Sea is pushing for a place in the 40. Other artists expected to debut are: Jason Mraz (Yes!), Jungle (Jungle), Suicide Silence (You Can't Stop Me), Pennywise (Yesterdays) and Judas Priest (Redeemer Of Souls). Moves should also be made again from the Jersey Boys soundtrack and controversial pop star Miley Cyrus (Bangerz).

Over to the singles and music lovers can still expect to see The Madden Brothers and locals Justice Crew leading the way this week, but there are a few debuts to keep an eye out for too. On the local front, crooner Vance Joy is expected to chart in the 40 with his new track Mess Is Mine.

David Guetta's latest Lovers On The Sun, featuring Sam Martin, Paloma Faith's Only Love Can Hurt Like This, George Ezra's Budapest and Usher's collab with Nicki Minaj, She Came To Give It To You are all expected to debut in the ARIA Singles Chart this week too.

Expect movements from Sheppard's hit single Geronimo and Illy's current radio fave Tightrope, as well as Ella Henderson's Ghost and G.R.L.'s Ugly Heart.
