Ladies and gentlemen, we have a release date

More Hilltop Hoods More Hilltop Hoods

Australian hip-hop pioneers the Hilltop Hoods have revealed that their eagerly awaited seventh studio full-length, Walking Under Stars, will officially be available for purchase on Friday, August 8, via the band’s own Golden Era Records/Universal Music Australia.

Walking Under Stars will be simultaneously dropping via Universal in Canada, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Britain, New Zealand and Benelux (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg), as well as through Fontana in the United States, and marks the Hilltop Hoods’ first album effort since 2012’s critically acclaimed, double-Platinum Drinking From The Sun.

Fans have already been treated to some delicious early tastes from the record, with the veteran rappers having recently dropped two singles – Won’t Let You Down and The Art Of The Handshakeboth of which have done good business on the charts for the ensemble.

Hilltop Hoods called upon the talents of Kiwi chanteuse Aaradhna as a guest artist on the album, alongside the likes of British soul star Maverick Sabre (who features in Won’t Let You Down available here), Brother Ali, and ARIA Award winners Dan Sultan and Hilltops’ contemporary Drapht.

If you’re aching to see the iconic trio in the flesh, we can’t totally ease that pain – there aren’t yet any officially announced tour dates to accompany the LP’s release next month, but the band promise they’ve got both national and international jaunts planned for the near future, so keep your eyes peeled and we’ll keep you covered with the necessary updates.
