If you’ve got a belt pack receiver that doesn’t belong to you, the band would like a word

Beloved Brisbanian rock rebels
Violent Soho
have made a public plea to fans at their Sydney show last night after a piece of gear was apparently taken by a member of the crowd.

Following their appearance with Melburnian punkers The Smith Street Band at the city's Manning Bar on July 10, the band took to Facebook to explain that vocalist Luke Boerdam had lost his belt pack receiver while up close and personal with the crowd, and that it had not been handed in.

“Attn: Sydney friends who were at the show tonight. Our singer Luke lost his belt pack receiver when he jumped in the crowd and someone has taken it home with them,” the band posted. “It costs a lot of money so we'd really appreciate if you or someone you know has it if you could please give it back.”

The band conclude the message by providing a contact address for anyone with information as to the renegade pack's whereabouts to get in touch.

The theft has obviously left the recent SideOneDummy signees with a bitter-tinged aftertaste from the show – and, be fair, life's tough enough for our local acts, so if you were at the show and know anything about where Violent Soho's expensive-ass piece of equipment went once it parted ways with its rightful owner, do the right thing and let them know.
