More Interpol More Interpol

New York-based post-punk luminaries Interpol have unveiled the first taste of their forthcoming fifth LP El Pintor, in the form of the video clip for fresh single All The Rage Back Home.

Directed by guitarist/vocalist Paul Banks and Brooklyn-bred auteur Sophia Peer, the clip sets the band of Gloomy Guses against a background of monochromatic filters intercut with surf footage, because nothing says “summer sports” like men in suits playing lethargic rock music in a dimly lit room.

Have a watch of the video below to wrap your ears around what you can expect when the album drops in a couple of months.

El Pintor will be Interpol's first release following the departure of founding bassist and primary lyricist Carlos Dengler, who departed the band in 2010 after completing work on their self-titled fourth full-length LP.

The band will perform in Australia later this month as part of Byron Bay's Splendour In The Grass festival alongside international heavyweights such as OutKast, Lily Allen, Two Door Cinema Club and Childish Gambino.
