Friendship is a beautiful thing

More Flume More Flume

It's no secret that ubiquitous producer Harley Streten, aka Flume, has something of a soft spot for fellow Aussie superstar Chet Faker, with the pair's budding bromance perhaps best crystallised in their recent collaboration, Drop The Game (have you heard Thumpers' exclusive remix?).

Now, however, Flume has taken the friendship to the next level, offering up a free re-working on SoundCloud of Faker's track Gold, which Streten acknowledges as his favourite song off Chet's acclaimed debut studio full-length, Built On Glass, named recently as one of theMusic.com.au's top 25 albums of 2014 so far.

Both artists are slated to appear at the impending Listen Out festival legs in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane in September/October. They'll join the likes of ZHU, ScHoolboy Q, US rapper YG, South by Southwest buzz act Young Fathers, Aussie hip-hopper Ta-ku, fellow local Tkay Maidza, UK legend Four Tet live, and a DJ showing from Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, among many others.
