More Vance Joy More Vance Joy

Melbourne singer-songwriter Vance Joy is celebrating cracking the top 100 in the US charts after a lengthy and successful radio campaign this year.

His hit Riptide – winner of the triple j Hottest 100 – has entered at 92 in the Billboard 100, the same chart that is being controlled by Aussie rapper Iggy Azalea. Real name James Keogh, Vance Joy has been landing airplay on alternative stations around the country for most of the year and back in February theMusic.com.au was predicting that a Hot 100 debut wasn't far off. Sia's Chandelier has also climbed this week, moving from 32 to 20 – a new high point.

Alongside other Australian acts like Boy & Bear and Birds Of Tokyo, Keogh has been a feature of the influential Adult Alternative Songs chart, formerly the Triple A chart but still judged by radio play and often a key indicator of trends, with all three acts benefiting from sustained campaigns to crack the states. This week Boy & Bear's Southern Sun sits at seven on Adult Alternative Songs chart.

On the Alternative Songs chart, which is determined by sales, Riptide sits at seven.
