Sia, Allday, sleepmakeswaves and more

Allday Startup Cult (ONETWO)

The Adelaide rapper will finally unveil his debut LP tomorrow, with the release laced with the emerging artist's trademark laidback, chilled-out style. That doesn't mean this record should be taken lightly according to The Music's Sally-Anne Hurley, who said "Startup Cult is one of the most refreshing debut Aussie hip hop releases, period."

sleepmakeswaves Love Of Cartography (Bird's Robe/MGM)

The Sydney instrumental outfit are back with their sophomore full-length and have created a sound "more accessible" to the mainstream market, according to The Music's Dylan Stewart. This new direction could be put down to their partnership with Karnivool and Powderfinger producer Nick DiDia.

The Acid Liminal (Infectious Music/Liberator)

This cross-country ambient-electro trio are heading to Splendour, so if you're not familiar with their work as yet, Liminal, their debut record is a good place to start. "It's a somewhat lonely body of work, though the sound bed of sparse yet dynamic moods demands repeat listens and great contemplation," said The Music's Tyler McLoughlan.

Sia 1000 Forms Of Fear (Inertia)

The internationally loved singer-songwriter will reveal her first solo album in four years tomorrow, undoubtedly one of the most anticipated releases this year. The Music's Liz Giuffre poses the question as to whether the hit-maker really needs to make her own records anymore. "Probably not, but thank fuck she does them anyway," Giuffre said.
