Southbound Flags Big Changes To Camping In 2015

Or, more accurately, "roughing it with style"

The organisers of premier West Australian event Southbound Festival are shaking things up for their eleventh two-day party next January, announcing today that they will massively overhaul the way it handles punter camping.

In conjunction with the City of Busselton, Southbound has received approval to allow attendees to drive their vehicles right on up to their camping spots to set up for the weekend then and there; none of this “lugging your belongings for a distance before slumping in what may as well be a camping spot because you can't keep walking with all this baggage” business that you might have been expecting otherwise.

As a result, security for personal belongings is beefed up, the convenience of having your vehicle, its storage and charging capabilities right next to your tent puts Southbound firmly on world-class footing when it comes to stay-the-night revelry.

The line-up is still a mystery at this stage, but with projected run dates of Saturday, January 3, and Sunday, January 4, 2015, such details are sure to be imminent. The festival has previously hosted acts such as Chet Faker, Gossling, !!!, Grizzly Bear, Asta, Johnny Marr, London Grammar, Violent Soho and Big Scary, as well as many others.
