As if the fact that they had to book three shows there to cover demand for their forthcoming tour didn't make it obvious, Melbourne loves them some Something For Kate, and now the city is set to get a fourth serve of the Aussie alternative rock mainstays when they play a warm-up show at the Prince of Wales on July 2.

Proudly presented by The Music, the "official" shows will be preceded by this intimate affair with SFK, who will take the name Max Planck And The Survival Experts for the low-key appearance.

Tickets are door-buys only, costing an easy $25 to get you through once gates open at 8pm.

The first 200 attendees through the door net themselves a free copy of 2007's previously unreleased California CD single, which was the band's first track to be released exclusively in digital format.
