Another Billboard record equalled by the Aussie

More Iggy Azalea More Iggy Azalea

Aussie rapper Iggy Azalea is continuing to break records in the US, with the Mullumbimby native equalling another Billboard feat today.

In this week's Billboard Hot 100, figures for which are officially updated overnight, Azalea has equalled R&B singer Ashanti as the longest running female to hold the number one and two spots in the chart simultaneously, through her single Fancy (featuring Charli XCX) and her Ariana Grande collaboration Problem. The Aussie MC has now held the top spots for five consecutive weeks.

Ashanti achieved the feat 12 years ago with her biggest solo hit to date Foolish and collaboration with rapper Fat Joe What's Luv.

This record follows on from her recent efforts matching records set by legends The Beatles and singer Mariah Carey in the Hot 100.
