Make guitar picks and stuff...

More Splendour In The Grass More Splendour In The Grass

Splendour In The Grass isn't just about the music, as we should all know by now. The festival also has a pretty darn cool arts and crafts program running each year and we've now got the details for this year's event.

A number of local and international artists will present work as part of Splendour Arts, including the live art installation RUMSPRINGER, Skywhale by Patricia Piccinini, which is a huge balloon creature that lights up and Hungry Castle's Lionel Richie's Head, which is literally a giant sculpture of the All Night Long singer's head. What else could it possibly be?

Moving on to Splendour In the Craft – now in its second year – and there will be a stack of workshops that will show you how to make bracelets, guitar picks and stuff (all the important things). The likes of Beci Orpin, Kitiya Palaskas, Matt Format, Fancy Free (featuring Patience Hodgson of The Grates) and more will be on hand to show how to do some really cool stuff. The Grates also run the craft area's main café – SouthSide Tea Room – so in amongst making stuff, you can grab yourself a refreshing hot beverage.

More details on the Splendour arts and crafts fun can be found here.
