Singer-songwriter Sarah Blasko will play a special show later this month to raise funds for the Refugee Council of Australia, whose core funds were cut in the recent Federal Budget.

Blasko will take out from working on her fifth album to perform at the Giant Dwarf in Redfern on Friday 20 June, with a number of other yet to be revealed special guests set to join her on the night. The show is part of Refugee Week, which is held from Sunday 15 to Saturday 21 June.

"I'm an ambassador this year & the Refugee Council need financial support now more than ever to continue their positive work within refugee communities in Australia," Blasko said of her involvement.

"They are also an important force in lifting the veil on our country's treatment of asylum seekers. So, come watch me sing for the night & you'll be supporting them. I promise at least one new song & special guests."
