Get down with your bad self

More Ball Park Music More Ball Park Music

Brisbane-based modern indie juggernauts Ball Park Music continue the stream of goodness from their latest full-length, the acclaimed Puddinghead, with the brand spankin' new video for their latest single, Trippin' The Light Fantastic.

Following their previous single release She Only Loves Me When I'm There, Trippin' The Light... is a synth-drenched, electro-flecked, danceable little number that further demonstrates BPM's increasingly maturing and diversifying ouevre as the five-piece unshackle themselves - consciously or otherwise - from expectation.

The clip itself, which opens on frontman Sam Cromack in an empty hall, recalls Flashdance, or Footloose, or any other movie where a skinny person dances their heart out in an otherwise empty room, only Trippin' The Light... brings a full-sized owl-man and, naturally, a Tron-style light show for good measure before the gymnasium party really gets started.

Maybe you should just watch it yourselves:

The band only recently wrapped their national tour in support of Puddinghead, but they'll be back on-stage no later than at next month's Splendour In The Grass festival.

Until then, you can keep yourself satiated by either grabbing Trippin' The Light... or Puddinghead from iTunes.
