Aussie success story The Preatures have announced details of their new single Two Tone Melody and are backing it up with the revelation of a series of tour dates in support of the release.

The Preatures had a massive 2013, which saw the band's debut single Is This How You Feel? receive ubiquitous airplay, earn them an ARIA nomination nod, a triple j Hottest 100 Top-10 spot and secure 'Song Of The Year' on Sydney community radio icon FBi. The song was yesterday revealed in contention for the annual APRA Song Of The Year Award.

It's fair to say the new tune has some sizeable shoes to fill, but with performances at SXSW, Coachella and a headline European tour all on the recent career highlights list, it pays to probably give The Preatures the benefit of the doubt as far as delivering the goods is concerned.

Vocalist Isabella Manfredi said of the upcoming track: “I came up with the opening verse of Two Tone Melody last year when I was at Simon Day's house, from RatCat. I liked the way the lyrics and melody fit together; it felt effortless, which is really hard to fabricate. The rest of it came pretty easily after that.”
