Ice-T's Metal Band, Body Count, Is Back With A New Film Clip

Good things come to those who wait

More Body Count More Body Count

Oh, thank you, Jesus, or whatever deity to which you pray - Body Count, the Ice-T-fronted thrash metal group (who are now down to two surviving founding members), have returned with their first album in eight years, Manslaughter, and - moreover - the incredible video for their new single, Talk Shit, Get Shot.

Utilising the dying art of the film-clip opening sketch, it takes about a minute before the Body Count brutality kicks in properly, though there's something to be said for watching Ice-T physically reach out of a smartphone, grab a dude around the throat and pull him into his web of cyber terror.

For your Emmy consideration.

The clip then takes a turn for the slightly more traditional, with the hapless captive being tied to a chair and forced to watch a Body Count performance - we're not sure if the video is trying to say if that's a bad thing or not - while word spreads about the chaotic underground gig, a couple of socialites take a few slugs to the torso, and anarchy reigns in sweet, monochromatic HD.
