'The Golden Echo' is not far away

More Kimbra More Kimbra

The new album from New Zealand songstress Kimbra is not far off the cards, with The Golden Echo set to be released this August.

The LP is the follow-up to her 2011 debut Vows and will feature a stack of collaborators, including Thundercat, Muse's Matt Bellamy, Mark Foster of Foster The People, Bilal and Janelle Monae. While we don't have the exact release date as yet, the album's eclectic first single '90 Music is available digitally now.

Illness has forced two cancellations to Kimbra's current co-tour with soul singer Monae, with Monae pulling out of Friday's Melbourne show at the last minute and yesterday's Sydney show postponed. An announcement is expected on the rescheduling of their Sydney show sometime today so stay tuned.
