Sarah Blasko To Perform At March In May This Weekend

Singer-songwriter Sarah Blasko has been confirmed to perform at this weekend's March In May rally.

The acclaimed Sydney-based artist will perform this Sunday 18 May at Belmore Park, while social commentator and writer Van Badham will act as a guest MC during the rally.

The protests follow on from the recent March In March event, which saw English musician and activist Billy Bragg perform, while protestors voiced their concern over the Abbott government.

Issues of focus for this weekend's rally relate to the budget that was unveiled this week, including cuts to education, arts and healthcare funding, as well as other issues such asylum seeker rights, climate change and disability support.
