EYE ON THE CHARTS

There wasn't much of a change around the top of the indie singles chart this week, with Sheppard - Geronimo (Independent/MGM) and Sia - Chandelier (Monkey Puzzle/Inertia) staying at first and second respectively. Sheppard's 2013 self-tilted EP pushed up into three from five, while the soulful Chet Faker scored fourth and fifth with his latest singles 1998 and Talk Is Cheap (Future Classic/Independent).

Northern QLD hip hop pair Fozzey & VanC scored the only single debut of the week, with their new track Gimme Love (Independent) nabbing an impressive ninth place, while Flume's other project, What So Not, re-entered the 20 with Jaguar (Sweat It Out/Xelon), possibly on the back of their recent Groovin The Moo appearances.

John Butler Trio may have lost their crown for the top indie album last week, but they've reclaimed their throne again this week. Flesh & Blood (Jarrah/MGM) bumped into one from three, while last week's top spot holders New Empire saw their latest record In A Breath (Permanent Records/Shock) move down to seven.

Indie-pop faves Ball Park Music moved into two with their latest Puddinghead (Stop Start Music/Inertia), while Chet Faker's 2012 EP Thinking In Textures (Opulent/Inertia) enjoyed more success on the back of his current hype, sitting at third. The Jezabels also moved a little bit higher thanks to their Groovin The Moo appearances and headline shows - The Brink (Independent/MGM) pushed into fourth from eighth this week.

And, similarly to the singles chart, just the one debut this week for albums - Sydney-based hip hop and reggae fused outfit Astronomy Class entered the list at 17 with their LP Mekong Delta Sunrise (Elefant Traks/Inertia).
