Yeah, I'm looking for Amanda Huggenkiss

Duff Beer, the iconic beverage of choice among the alcoholics of The Simpsons' city of Springfield, will hit Australian shelves – cromulently* – for the first time from Wednesday, May 28.

Duff will be available at both BWS and Dan Murphy's outlets, but, arguably more excitingly, its arrival is being heralded with a week-long pop-up Moe's Tavern - "the best damn pet shop in town" - at the Woolloomooloo Bay Hotel from May 23 to May 30.

A favourite of counterfeiters – an unofficial Duff Beer was available in Australia in the '90s – Duff will finally go legit when it is launched as a “true premium lager” with a “clean, crisp and refreshing taste” for discerning Australian palates.

While the beer (and the prospects it raises – a real-life Duffman, a replica of Duff Gardens, offering rides on the Duff Blimp) is exciting news, we have to be honest: it's Moe's that we're stoked about.

The Woolloomooloo Bay Hotel's pop-up of the iconic tavern promises to be a “true representation” of the bar, with Duff exclusively on tap and edible Springfieldian treats such as Krusty Burgers, Duffalo Wings and Lard Lad donuts.

However, there is no word on whether they will a) feature the Flaming Moe on the beverage list, b) be able to achieve the authentic levels of “dank” of which Lenny and Carl are so fond, c) install Moe's tiny airless panic room behind the bar, or d) feature the Love Tester that crushed Abe Simpson to create the Love-Matic Grampa in The Simpsons Spin-Off Showcase back in season eight. They should probably avoid getting a landline installed, though.

Duff Beer will be sold in 355ml cans at BWS and Dan Murphy's across the country, retailing for $17 per six-pack and $45 per case.
