The ARIA charts remain topped by local independent recording acts for a second week in a row. Chet Faker retains the number one spot on the Album Charts with Built On Glass (released via Future Classic) while Sheppard stay atop the Singles Chart for a third week with Geronimo (out on Chugg Music through MGM).

While the midweek sales figures indicated INXS looked set to overtake Faker, their The Very Best set slipped to three as the Frozen soundtrack inched up to number two - the highest its been able to get here despite its record-breaking run at number one in the US.

The top ten albums also maintained a decidedly Australian flavour this week with six of the ten being local releases. Former talent show contestants Jessica Mauboy and Harrison Craig filled out the top five - Mauboy bulleted up to four from 17 with Beautiful (now in its 24th chart week), while Craig held at five with LOVE (both these sets could experience further bumps as Mothers Day approaches and PR for Mauboy's Eurovision cameo kicks in). Russell Morris' Van Diemen's Land slipped from four to seven in its second week and Dan Sultan's Blackbird moved from six to eight in its third week.

While the week's highest new entries were from internationals - Paolo Nutini at six with Caustic Love and Zhu at 20 with The Nightday EP - Sydney's New Empire debuted at 28 with In A Breath and Melbourne's Bonjah came in at 41 with Beautiful Wild.

Sheppard held off fellow Aussie Sia from the top singles placing, as the Adelaide expat held at number two with Chandelier. Both stayed steady in the face of tough competition from the week's top newcomer Wiggle by Jason Derulo with Snoop Dogg - it came in at three.

The top local new entry came in the form Darwin-born Vassy who is the featured vocalist on French EDM superstar David Guetta's track with Dutch act Showtek, their collab Bad landed at 21. While Vassy has had big club chart success in the US - number one with We Are Young last year - this is her breakthrough at home (Bad has also given Vassy a top 30 hit across Europe - reaching six in France).
