Dan Condon leaves the site today

Dan Condon, foundation music editor of theMusic.com.au and long time Street Press Australia employee, is moving on from the company.

Condon – whose final day is today – has been with the company for over six years and was a integral member of Brisbane street press Time Off's writing staff for years before that. He was a foundation editor of theMusic.com.au and instrumental in the subsequent development of the company's current and forthcoming digital properties.

He is leaving to pursue a new opportunity in the digital music media world and while we can't tell you exactly what it is today it will be revealed in the coming weeks.

The Music's Managing Editor Andrew Mast said today, “Dan has been one of the best and most knowledgeable music writers I've ever worked with and he will be sorely missed.”

Managing Director Craig Treweek added, “Dan has been an amazing part of the group for over 6 years and wrote for Time Off a long time before that.

“When you have a drink or coffee on the weekend take a moment to open up the website, go to Blogs, open a Sick Tunes and enjoy a great read. I know I will certainly miss that, it has become a weekend ritual.”

As theMusic.com.au begins the incredibly difficult task of replacing Condon, all enquiries should be made to News Editor Scott Fitzsimons.
