The grudge match of the year

The annual charity Aussie Rules games between community radio broadcasters and Melbourne rock legends, the Community Cup, has announced details for its 2014 – including a nod to the late Lou Reed with the catch-phrase 'Such A Perfect Day'.

Raising money for Reclink, who aim to enhance to lives of disadvantaged people in remote and isolated communities, the day will once again be a massive family day out at Elsternwick Park. Last year 10,000 people attended and over $100,000 was raised while the football match – the day's centrepiece – ended in another draw between the Triple R/PBS Megahertz and the Rockdogs.

The 2014 Reclink Community Cup will take place Sunday 22 June at Elsternwick Park.

Live music kicks off from 12 noon (when gates also open), adults are $10, kids under 16 $5.
