More Hard-Ons More Hard-Ons

Aussie punk rock icons Hard-Ons have announced a special national tour in celebration of their 30th anniversary as a band.

The outfit, considered one of our most successful independent bands, will play shows throughout South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland during the run, which kicks off on Thursday 29 May at Adelaide's Enigma Bar.

The tour will be a throwback to the era that Hard-Ons were undoubtedly in their prime, 1984-93, and will only play songs that were recorded during that time. It was during that period that the guys scored 17 consecutive number one tracks in the local alternative charts.

Original member Keish de Silva will return to the band temporarily for the tour, teaming up with fellow originals Peter 'Blackie' Black and Ray Ahn, along with Murray Ruse, who joined the guys in 2011.

The Hard-Ons will also be releasing a special two-disc reissue of their seminal record Yummy and split 7" single with local experimental pioneers The Necks. Fans can also expect a new album from the current Hard-Ons line-up not long after the tour, so stay tuned.

The band's classic single Girl In The Sweater has been reissued for the upcoming Record Store Day.

Tickets are available now and the tour is proudly presented by The Music.
