Having been dislodged from the top spot in her home country this week, Kylie Minogue has debuted her Kiss Me Once album at 31 in the United States.

The album spent one week at the top of the Australian charts last week before being knocked off by INXS' The Very Best album, as it returned to number one.

While it was Minogue's fourth number one studio album in Australia - she previously reached the apex of our charts with X (2007), Fever (2001) and Light Years (2000) - it is now her third highest charting position in the US to date. Fever peaked in the States at three in 2001 and Aphrodite hit 19 in 2010.

Minogue also just missed the top place on the UK albums chart last week. She was kept from debuting in the top spot by George Michael's Symphonica set. As in Australia, Minogue has notched up four number one albums in the UK: Aphrodite (2010), Fever (2001), Enjoy Yourself (1989) and Kylie (1988).
