You'll probably guess...

Perth's Birds Of Tokyo have joined Sydney's Boy & Bear and Melbourne's Vance Joy on the cusp of big things in America, with touring, releases and SXSW showcases thrusting the three bands into the American limelight.

There's excitement in all three camps in the moment, as in the all important Adult Alternative Songs charts (aka triple A), Boy & Bear have become the top Australian representatives with their track Southern Sun moving to seven this week.

The chart is compiled from a number of influential radio stations around the USA and according to Boy & Bear's management they've only got three more stations in the catchment to land radio play on.

Just behind them at nine is Vance Joy's Riptide, which has been a staple of the triple A chart for 16 weeks now. He's also had the most success in Europe out of the three, with Riptide debuting at 20 in Germany, 20 in Switzerland and 35 in Austria after being cited in the iTunes charts around Europe.
