Music industry grants open for applications

Applications for this year's round of music industry grants through The Seed Fund are open, with the fund giving its categories a shake-up for its tenth year.

The Management Workshop is back after a year off, with up to 25 positions available for the intensive program featuring leading managers, publishers, lawyers and promoters. The grant covers transport and accommodation.

For managers who have been to the workshop previously, up to three grants of up to $5,000 will be available once again.

This year The Seed Fund, which has backing from John Butler amongst others, have also introduced a grant for performing and recording artists – It's All About The Song. Up to three grants of up to $3,500 will be offered for artists to record a single with a top producer, with Steve Schram (San Cisco), John Castle (Vance Joy) and Tony Buchen (Phrase) tied to the project.
