Renovations almost complete

Sydney's Newtown Social Club has confirmed its first live shows as the latest live music venue to open in Sydney prepares to host Ed Kuepper, Citizen Kay, the Perch Creek Family Jugband and more from May.

Programmed by the Corner Presents team, who also look after four other venues and have incorporated festival booking company Way Over There, renovations at the venue's top room are nearing completion.

The 300 capacity room is being fitted with a “world class” PA and aims to host live music up to seven nights a week. The building work permits and subsequent renovations have taken a year to navigate.

As the first shows have been filtering through from the artists themselves, the venue has today officially made its first announcement of performances.
