SoulFest could visit in October

D'Angelo, Common, Aloe Blacc and Mos Def are rumoured to be part of a new neo-soul festival bill that will tour Australia's east coast this October.

Un-verified artwork of a festival called SoulFest appeared on soul singer Anthony Hamilton's Facebook yesterday, before being swiftly removed. According to the artwork – which theMusic.com.au understands may be out of date – Maxwell was also listed as a headliner with Angie Stone, Musiq Soulchild and Leela James.

While the festival has no online presence yet a number of questions have been raised by fans excited at the prospect of the tour, which according to the un-verified artwork has dates in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

Ticketek appears to verify the existence of the festival, or at least the planning stages of it, with the ticketing company accepting expressions of interest via a waitlist for an event called 'SoulFest' on its website.
