Some claim it's real, some claim it's fake.

More Daft Punk More Daft Punk

A collaboration between American rap superstar Jay Z and game changing French electro duo Daft Punk is something that would have no doubt sent modern music lovers into a frenzy, so it's kinda surprising to hear a track allegedy put together by the two artists leak online years after it was made.

The song, Computerized, first leaked a couple of days ago with plenty of people questioning its validity. Carrie Battan and Amy Phillips of Pitchfork have gone on the record as saying the track is legitimate, but have not revealed the source that has confirmed this information to them.

"We can confirm that it is, in fact, real," their story says.

Their story also confirms that Kanye West was not involved in the making on the track, refuting reports that have claimed otherwise elsewhere online.

Listen to the song below.

While there is no proving that this is a legitmate track, there's also no proving that Daft Punk and Jay Z didn't make this song together. There is almost no doubt that, if it is real, the song was never meant to see the light of day; it sounds unpolished and unfinished and not to the calibre we usually expect from Daft Punk.

No doubt the truth will surface soon enough, and we will let you know when it does.
